Run the command below, then ask Claude: "Add a consent-first AgentPixel to my site." Claude starts a 30-day trial (no card), creates the pixel, configures the consent bar, puts the script tag in your layout and checks that it loads.
claude mcp add --transport http agentpixel https://agentpixel.io/mcp --header "X-AgentPixel-Source: guide_claude_code"
1. **Add the server.** Run the command above. Restart Claude Code if it was open. 2. **Start the trial.** Ask: "Start an AgentPixel trial for me@company.com." The agent calls signup_free. Read it the 6-digit code from the AgentPixel email; it calls confirm_signup and gets the API key. 3. **Create the pixel and consent bar.** Ask: "Create a pixel for yoursite.com and configure consent." Claude calls create_pixel, then configure_consent, and returns the script tag and policy link. 4. **Add the tag.** Ask: "Add the tag to the site layout." Claude edits your HTML or framework layout, for example app/layout.tsx in Next.js. Use the tag from configure_consent. 5. **Verify.** Deploy, then ask: "Check the AgentPixel install." Claude calls check_install. 6. **Read contacts.** Later: "Show today's contacts." Claude calls get_contacts.
With the configure_consent snippet installed, a bar asks the visitor to "identify this visit." The choice is recorded, and each acceptance is stored with the policy hash and the origin. Install only the configure_consent snippet; the snippet create_pixel returns before consent is configured is not the one to put on the site.
**Does Claude need an API key first?** No. Signup needs no key. confirm_signup returns the key, or you can sign in with OAuth from Claude.
**Does it work with other agents?** Yes: Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI, Cline and any MCP client. See https://agentpixel.io/connect.
**What does it cost?** A 30-day trial, no card. Then $1 per account per month for 3 pixels and 500 new contacts per UTC calendar month. No usage charges.
**Can I see the output before signing up?** Yes. Ask the agent to call try_sample, or open https://agentpixel.io/v1/sample. Every record there is labeled synthetic.
**Where is the data policy?** https://allsourcedata.io/privacy
